Preparing Fruit for Healthy Smoothie Recipes

The most delicious healthy smoothie recipes have ripe fruit as their main ingredient. You can use any type of fruit in smoothies, but ripe organic fruit is best if you can get hold of it. If it's not organic then it's a good idea to peel it.

Here's how to prepare fresh fruit for healthy smoothies.
  • Plums, Nectarines, Peaches, and Apricots

    Wash, remove the stone, and slice.

Try buying it ready prepared, or check out the frozen food section of your supermarket where you should find a selection of frozen fruit that is great in smoothies. You might find frozen banana chunks and strawberries, mango chunks, or blueberries and other berries.
