Low fat Green Smoothie Recipes
Here are some low fat green smoothie recipes that I hope will inspire you to create your own vibrant green smoothies.
Banana, Orange, and Spinach Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients - Serves 1-2
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 2 oranges
- 2 large handfuls of baby spinach
- 1-2 cups of water (optional)
How to make a green smoothie
- Prepare the fruit, and add into the blender with the water. If your blender's not particularly powerful squeeze the oranges and use the juice rather than the whole fruit to create a lovely smooth smoothie.
- Next add the greens.
- Blend well and enjoy.
Cantaloupe Melon and Lettuce Smoothie Recipe
I like to use romaine lettuce as its sweet tasting and very nutritious.
Ingredients - Serves 1-2
- 1 cantaloupe melon
- 1 head of romaine or green lettuce
- 2cm cube of ginger root (optional)
How to make a green melon smoothie
- Prepare the melon, and add to the blender.
- Next wash, slice, and add the lettuce.
- Peel, chop, and add the ginger if using - or add a pinch of ginger powder, or a ginger ice-cube.
- Blend well and enjoy.
Lovely in a tall glass on a hot summers day.
Mango, Banana, and Parsley Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients - Serves 1-2
- 1 mango
- 1 banana
- 1/2 bunch of parsley
- 1-2 cups of water (optional)
How to make
- Prepare the fruit, and add into the blender with the water if using.
- Wash and add the parsley
- Blend well and serve.
Delightfully fresh and fruity.

- 1-3 handfuls of baby spinach
- 2 cups of water.

- Peel the mango, and add into the blender with the water.
- Wash and add the baby spinach.
- Blend well and serve.
