Type 2 Diabetes Cure

It's estimated that 347 million people in the world now have diabetes (1) and by 2030 that number is expected to rise to 552 million (2).

In the U.S. a new case of diabetes is diagnosed every 30 seconds (3), with over 9% of the American population suffering from diabetes (4).

Healing diabetes type 2 with a raw food diet.

Diabetes type 2 is a "lifestyle" disease. Unhealthy food choices and lack of exercise have caught up with us. It's becoming more and more obvious that we are what we eat.

For those with the motivation to succeed a low glycemic raw food diet and juicing may reverse and cure many diseases including type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is often completely curable with a whole raw live food diet, and the raw food lifestyle may also benefit type 1 diabetics.

Healing Diabetes: The Simply Raw Documentary

For more information watch the totally inspiring film "Raw for 30 Days" which documents the journey back to health of 6 American diabetics who have been eating a Standard American Diet (SAD diet). It's shows the joy and hardships of healing through a raw food diet.

Raw for 30 Days

For 30 days they eat no meat, no dairy, no junk food, no sweets or candies, and no sugar. Nor do they drink alcohol or caffeine. They eat a whole raw live food diet, and have their blood sugar checked daily.

By the end of the 30 days their blood sugar has stabilized, and they are cured of diabetes. The documentary is really inspiring and positive.

Recommended book: There is a cure for dabetes

While a trip to the Tree of Life Centre in Arizona is an ideal way to learn and implement this cure, the reality is that most of us folk just don't have that sort of money to spend.

With this in mind Dr. Gabriel Cousens has written a really useful book There is a Cure for Diabetes,: The 21 day Recovery Program (see reviews on amazon.com), which enables us all to have access to this life saving information. If you live in the U.K. you can check out the book on amazon.co.uk.

Healing type 2 diabetes with diet AND Exercise

"My personal experience with diabetes and review of the literature made it VERY clear to me that virtually every case of type 2 diabetes is 100 percent reversible."

Dr. Joseph Mercola, M.D.

To be healthly and fit along with a good diet we need a balance of

  • aerobic exercise: e.g. walking, gentle jogging, rebounding, swimming, cycling, dancing, tennis...

  • strength training: e.g. pilates, dynamic yoga, and weight lifting.

Check with your doctor before starting a new exercise or sport, start gently, and have fun. We are more likely to keep exercising if we find activities that are enjoyable and we can build them into our daily routines. Yoga and t'ai chi can help balance the mind as well as the body. If your interested in t'ai chi I recommend the book Copletme Guide to The Chi Gung (amazon.com) by Daniel Reid.
